This is a very nice way to use up those green tomatoes. Named after Vai
Ravikumar of Golden Valley, Minnesota:
CHUTNEY RAVIKUMAR
Heat 4 tablespoons of sesame oil
Fry 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds (red/black) until they burst
Be careful not to burn them
Lower heat and fry 2 tablespoons of hot chili powder
Add 6 green tomatoes cut up
Add some salt
Add tamarind (1 1/2 tsp of extract)
If you need liquid, use a red tomato, cut up
Cook for 40 minutes max
