Yet another idea is to slice carrots, put in steamer and steam a few
minutes, then add peeled sliced broccoli stems (cut about the same
thickness as the carrots) to the pot and finish steaming till both are
just tender. It's tasty, pretty, and very nutritious! (First time I did
this I needed a side dish and had only 2 carrots and a couple of broccoli
stems--neither of which was enough singly, but together they were very nice.)
