Thanks for the info. on foil and plastic. My mother spoke of the "ills" of
food storage in plastic quite some time ago before microwaves.
Subsequently, I, too, have heard about the potential problems with covering
foods with plastic wrap in the microwave. (I use wax paper - which I'm sure
someone will tell me is bad for some reason - which is fine, 'cause I'd like
to have that information, and make an informed decision!) IMHO, these are
not scare tactics. If we wait for "science" to protect us (via the FDA and
medical/pharmaceutical lobbies in government), we'll ALL be requiring sick
care from our insurers. I say, keep the info. coming.
