I make the Rice krispie treats substituting liquid butter buds for the
margerine. I believe it has milk product in it, it would not be vegan.
The liquid butter buds come in powder form and you add hot water to
prepare it. It comes in a yellow box near the baking items at the
grocery store.
They are very good. I hope this helps.
