Re: coleslaws and chickpeas

Hi,

Thanks to Pam for pointing out about the non-vegan ingredients on the Kraft
ff italian salad dressings, however (silly me!) I actually wrote down the
wrong brand, instead of Kraft I should have written Eta, don't know whether
it is available outside New Zealand. Anyway, any fatfree italian or french
dressing should be ok on the coleslaw (unless of course you prefer the
_creamy_ type of salad dressing on coleslaw). I think the attractive
ingredient for me on the salad was the chickpeas, I sometimes eat them as a
snack when I want peanuts, just drain the juice off the can of chickpeas,
rinse them, add some chili flakes and they're ready to eat - crunchy and
vlf. The chickpea crunchies that somebody posted on the Digest #186
sounded great, too!

Regards, Jaana
