Baingan Bharta recipe was posted. In this if one adds one cup yoghurt or
curd at the last stage, it gives a distinct delicious taste. It can be
served with khichdi. That is the rice is cooked alongwith red gram or green
gram split peas and little turmeric. 1/2 cup rice and 1/2 cup split peas or
one can adjust the amount of peas according to ones' choice.
I fry an onion in microwave only. Spray the oil in the dish and then add
finely sliced onions. Keep on high till seven to eight minutes. Then on high
till it becomes crispy and brown. But one has to be careful and has to keep
on stirring it every two-three minutes. Otherwise it will become dark brown
or even get burnt. It comes out perfect for dishes like biryani.
