Bad smell/taste

We started to notice that some food combos that we had cooked for years
started to give off a disagreeable odor and taste. It was the water.

Most of the water in metropolitan areas in Texas come from lakes. The
lakes "turn" twice a year giving off a horrible algae laden odor.

Although I agree that unwashed barley was probably the cause of the
disagreeable smell/flavor Jan and Kelly referred to, I'd suggest
checking your cooking water as well.

We use only distilled water in ALL cooking. We bought a distiller from
Sears for about $110 and it keeps us supplied with all the distilled
water we need.

It's a thought....Bev
