I have made McDougall's vegetable barley soup many times, and my family
really enjoys it. I usually buy my barley at the local HFS. I found
some (medium)barley on sale in another store and used it in this recipe
yesterday. What a mess! It has a consistency like jelly, but the taste
is fine. Could the different kind of barley caused this problem?
