Baked beans recipe

I love Eden's baked beans and thought I might try to make baked beans.
Eden's ingredients include navy beans, apple cider, shogum, spices and I
think some things I can't remember.

My question is it a real project to make baked beans.  I don't own a
pressure cooker or crockpot.  Anyone have any fairly easy recipes?
