I am hoping someone - anyone out there can help me. While cleaning out my
pantry over the weekend,
I came across a bag of *Torula Type Yeast Flakes* by Vita Health. My
question is: WHAT IS IT?
Can I use it as a substitute for other yeasts (nutritional / brewer's)?
And finally, how long does it keep,
and would anyone have any ideas as to using it in a recipe?
In case you're wondering, I bought this way back when I couldn't find
brewer's yeast for a McDougall
recipe, only to later learn that the recipe should have read nutritional
yeast. What's the difference?
