A serious warning to those of you rushing out to try
mochi :-)
If you haven't had mochi before, take very small bites
or cut them up very small... it can cause choking. It
can be really hard to chew and swallow. You'll see what
I mean when you try it!
My favorite way to eat it is to "toast" in a toaster oven
until it puffs wau up, dip all around in soy sauce and wrap
a piece of nori around it. I've never tried anything except
the "traditional" white rice mochi though.
