Hummus

I love hummus and have tried all kinds of recipes from lots of cookbooks.
However, I don't like it unless it has some tahini in it. Without the
sesame taste - it just isn't hummus. I finally developed the following
recipe - but as it makes 2 cups of hummus and 1 Tbs. of tahini has 8.1
grams of fat - only 1 tsp. doesn't add much fat (2.7g), but adds the
necessary flavor. So here's my recipe:

Hummus

2 each cloves garlic, pressed or minced
1 tsp. Tahini (for more fat use 1 Tbs.)
3 Tbs. lemon juice (1/2 large lemon)
1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans
Few grains cayenne
1 tsp. no-salt Table Shake seasoning (Shilling All-Purpose)
1/4 cup liquid from garbanzo beans or broth or water

Drain and rinse garbanzo beans, reserving liquid (if using). Put all
ingredients in food processor or blender. Puree until smooth and creamy
adding just enough liquid. Taste and adjust seasoning. Place in an airtight
container and chill until ready to serve. Bring to room temperature before
serving.

I think I'm addicted to the above. I eat it with celery, carrots, fatfree
pretzels, fatfree chips, as a spread on sandwiches - and anything else I
can get it to stick to. Hope you enjoy it.
