Tofu

Harry asked about tofu and the Ornish Diet. Some tofu is allowed on the
diet. Quoting directly from Everyday Cooking with Dr. Dean Ornish:
"Soybean products have no cholesterol and supply essential fatty acids and
are an exception to the guideline of no more than 3 grams of fat per
serving. However, use good judgment. Eating too much of any one food is
not a good idea. If you want to eat soybeans products, a good rule of
thumb is: stay within 1/2 cup soybeans, 4 ounces of tofu, or 2 cups
soy milk per day."
Hope this helps. Patty in AZ.
