1 1/2 cups TVP
1-2 Tbsp. vegetable broth
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 cup minced onion
1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
1 12 ounce jar Chili sauce
hot pepper sauce (optional)
Mix TVP with 1 1/4 cups boiling water, set aside. In a medium pan, sauté
onion and bell pepper in broth until tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in
TVP, soy sauce and app. 8 ounces of chili sauce. Stir. Add as much
remaining chili sauce as needed for the consistency you like. Add hot
pepper sauce if desired. Serve hot on whole wheat buns.
