For Renee who will be visiting Atlanta on the 29th :
If you will be towards North Atlanta, on 285 at the Roswell Rd. exit is Cafe
Sunflower, which is by far my number one vote. Typical menu items include
Grilled Portabellos, Exotic Eggplant Dishes, Meatless "burgers " a wonderful
variety of soups, rice, and bean dishes and of course, excellent piled high
salads heaping every veggie under the sun !! Soy and tofu desserts are also
offered. Yummy. The price is moderate, lunch less expensive than dinner.
Also, off 285 at the Roswell Rd exit is The Unicorn.
Again, moderately priced, follows a Chinese theme basically and will prepare
all dishes without oil and sauces on the side. Cute and quaint inside
atmosphere, and good eats !!
Look for an issue of Creative Loafing - a free Atlanta newspaper put out at
coffee houses and in shopping centers. In it you will find a restaurant
section and happenings in and around Atlanta. I hope you enjoy your visit.
