No, carbonated water is NOT just as good as "still" water. If contains
phosphorous which leached calcium out of bones. An occasional galss is
probably not going to hurt, but it should not be the main source of water.
If you really hate the plain glass of water, squeeze in some fresh lemon of
lime juice. Even a light herbal tea is better than carbonated water.
Also, is you drink caffeine, then you need even more water as this acts as a
diuretic.
I start every day with a large glass of water with a 1/4 of a lemon juiced
into it. I find this a great way to wake up the digestive system.
