From what has been written lately on the sci-veg list, baking ground flax
seeds doesn't destroy the benefits like heating flax oil does. There's a
lot of info about flax in their archives, which you can search at
http://www.sci-veg.org/svl/index.html . There are several vegetarian
nutrition experts on that list, including Vesanto Melina and Virginia
Messina.
