Gena, you could try using plain nonfat yogurt or evaporated skimmed milk, or
rice milk in place of the fat. Some recipes do better with a combination of
fat replacers instead of just one, i.e. half applesauce and half yogurt. I
also find that using a high quality whole grain wheat pastry flour for
biscuits and baking for a little less time than the original recipe calls
for helps when eliminating fat. HTH
