Another member kindly offered advice regarding drying
their own, which I tried with great success. If I
remember correctly, he sliced the "grape" tomatoes
(smaller than the cherry tomatoes and incredibly
sweet!) in half and then dried them in his oven on low
to produce a wonderfully textured raison-sized treat.
I dried my tomatoes on the gas grill outside, set on
real low with embers of hickory chips on the lava
rocks. They turned out great with a wonderful hint of smoke.
