Here's a recipe from the NIF kitchen:
Black Beans (topping)
2 C black beans, uncooked
1 T cumin
1/2 C onion, chopped
1 T chili powder
5 cloves gralic, minced
1/4 t Braggs liquid aminos
1/2 C maple syrup
1/2 strip kombu (optional)
1/4 t cayenne pepper
2 qts. water
(no cooking directions given, I assume cook until beans are tender)
Serve over polenta.
