If you own a bread machine and like pumpernickel bread, here's a very nice
recipe I modified from one in a Family Circle magazine--with a big thanks to
Andrew Evans, who helped point me towards a fine bread machine.
Pumpernickel Raisin Bread
1 cup water
2 tablespoons molasses
1/4 cup bread flour
1/2 cup rye flour
2 1/4 cups whole-wheat bread flour
1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons yeast
1 1/4 cups golden raisins
