White chili
Great northern beans - soaked and boiled til done.
Mush some up so it will be thick.
Add-
veg stock (to taste)
chili powder
worcestershire
garlic
soy sauce (for saltiness)
cayenne
cumin
thyme
marjoram
oregano
cider vinegar (need some acid to offset the base of the beans)
(use all seasonings to taste - we went heavy on garlic, cumin, chili powder
with just a dash of the others)
chopped -
jalopenos (lots)
green pepper (lots)
onions (lots)
zucchini (lots)
2 cans of whole tomatoes with juice chunked up
(Add veggies to taste - we used lots because we like our chili
very chunky)
So you have a chili-spiced dish with lots of veggies added. It was
very good and made some wonderful lunches on those
bitterly cold days we had last week.
