Imitation Snapple Iced Tea
Got this one from Top Secret Recipes website
http://www.topsecretrecipes.com
Most of what they've got is "taste-a-likes" for very fattening
American Fast Food chains. In some cases, they end up using
interesting ingredients to try to match the flavors. So if you are
looking to try to imitate something, some of the recipes from their
archive might be a good starting point.
Anyway, here's the one they came up with for Snapple-type iced
tea. Not surprisingly, it's a lot of sugar but you can always cut that
back.
2 quarts (8 cups) boiling water, removed from heat
3 Lipton tea bags
3/4 cups sugar
1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons lemon juice
1. Steep tea bags in a covered container for 1 hour.
2. Remove tea bags. Stir in sugar and lemon juice. Chill.
