Since it's so hot in many places, I thought I'd post this family favorite
recipe. It's the non-dairy version, which is how we make it, but it's
obvious how to change it to lacto. It tastes remarkably like the confection
sold at Baskin-Robbins at certain times of the year.
Mandarin Chocolate Sherbet
Stir together and put into an ice-cream maker (we *love* the Donvier maker,
as it needs no ice or electricity and you don't have to continually crank
it):
1 quart Soy Moo or other vanilla flavored low-fat or nonfat soy or rice
milk
1-6 oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 cup sugar or equivalent sweetener
6 Tbsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Follow ice cream maker's directions.
