Cranberry/Blueberry sauce, revised
1-1/2 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
12 ounce package cranberry (frozen, or fresh)
16 ounce package blueberry (frozen)
Dissolve the sugar in the water, and bring to a boil. Add the berries and
bring back to a boil. Cook approximately 20 minutes (partly covered).
The resulting taste is somewhat dfferent from the first version; because
of the longer cooking, it's more like tart blueberries. The liquid is
much thicker, however, and it's a better 'spooning' sauce than the first
version.
