SAUTEED APPLES
Peel, core and slice one large apple (I used tart Granny Smith). Place in a
microwavable container with a squeeze of lemon juice, a dash of cinammon,
and a sprinkling of brown sugar (you can also sprinkle with a bit of Butter
Buds if you like a hint of butter flavor). Cook covered on High for 4
minutes. Remove, stir, and let sit till you are ready to use. If you let
it sit for a few minutes, the sugar and lemon juice combine to form a nice
syrup.
You can use this, as I did, on top of pancakes and waffles, inside of
crepes, on top of yogurt, oatmeal, and sprinkled with granola. I could even
image this is as a nice side dish (if you go easy on the sugar).
