A pasta topper which is best for heavy pastas like shells or macaroni
is my sister's concoction:
Mock Alfredo Sauce
2 cups nonfat cottage cheese
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. dried onion soup mix
1-2 tsp. fresh or dried parsely (for color)
Whip all this together in a blender or food processor. Serve at room temp-
erature and pour over hot pasta. Very bright flavor and Alfredo-y! It's
probably a good idea to let it sit an hour or so before serving so that the
garlic cools out a little. It also refridgerates well for lunches, etc.
