Here's a bunch of "One-Dish Pasta
Sauces" from my files. Some vegan, some not, all basically FF. I make
these as single serving sauces, you may need to increase to feed more
peeps. I've made and enjoyed all these, hopefully some of you will too? :)
Not rocket science, but here's some directions just in case:
Boil water for pasta
Chop veggies
Toss pasta in boiling water
Whip up sauce
With about 4 mins left, toss in veggies (+ beans/meat sub if using)
Strain off water.
Crank heat down a little, dump in sauce and stir till thick and heated
Ken's One-Dish Pasta Sauces:
Curry #1:
2 tsp. Cornstarch
2/3 cup skim milk
1 T. Soy sauce
1 tsp. Curry powder
Curry #2:
2 tsp. Cornstarch
1 tsp. Curry powder
1/2 tsp. Yellow mustard
1/4 cup stock
1/4 cup fat-free Sour Cream
grated ginger
Indian Style Sauce:
2 tsp. Cornstarch
2 tsp. Mustard powder
1 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Turmeric
1/2 tsp. Coriander
1/8 tsp. Chili powder
1/4 cup stock
Dijonnaise:
1 T. Honey
1 T. Milk
2 T. Cider Vinegar
2 T. Dijon mustard
Cream sauce #1:
1 tsp. Cornstarch
dash of nutmeg and cracked pepper
1/3 cup skim milk
1 T. Sherry
1/4 cup fat-free mozzarella cheese
Cream sauce #2:
2 tsp. Cornstarch
1/2 cup stock
1 T. Fat-free Parmesan cheese
2 T. Fat-free sour cream
garlic, cracked pepper, parsley
Herb sauce:
1 T. Cornstarch
1/2 cup stock
2 T. Sherry/White wine
1 T. Fat-free sour cream
1.5 T. Chives
garlic, cracked black pepper
Lemon-Dijon:
1/2 T. Dried Onion flakes
1/2 T. Flour
1/2 cup skim milk
1 tsp. Lemon juice
1 T. Dijon mustard
Alfredo:
1 T. Cornstarch
1/2 cup stock
1 T. Fat-free Parmesan cheese
2 T. Fat-free sour cream
garlic, cracked pepper, parsley
Primavera:
1 T. Cornstarch
1/4 cup skim milk
1/4 cup stock
1/4 cup fat-free sour cream
cracked pepper, oregano
Lemony Garam Masala:
1/2 T. Garam Masala
1/4 cup stock
lemon juice
Creamy Mirin:
2 tsp. Cornstarch
1/2 cup skim milk
1 T. Mirin
oregano, parsley
Lemon Pepper:
1 T. Cornstarch
1/2 cup stock
2 T. Fat-free Parmesan cheese
2 T. Fat-free sour cream
1/8 tsp. Pepper + 1 tsp. Lemon zest
-or- 1 tsp. Lemon Pepper seasoning
