Zoe and all,
Martin Yan of "Yan Can Cook" (TV Food Network) sliced broccoli stems into
thin, quarter-like discs and used them in a stir-fry. If you slice them
thinly enough they'll cook pretty fast and not be too tough. He did peel
them, if I'm not mistaken.
