In case anyone out there hasn't already discovered this,
a good way to vary the taste of your grains is to toast them, uncooked,
in a dry frying pan, stirring constantly, until golden, like you would
"rice-a-roni". They sort of 'pop', take on a lighter texture and a nuttier
taste. After this, cook as usual. They make take slightly less time
than usual.
