For anyone interested in becoming a vegetarian, Dr. Dean Ornish's new book
"Eat More, Weigh Less" and the McDougall cookbooks are a good place to start
without "preaching." I like Nathan Pritikin's books, some of Jane Brody's
recipes, some of Pierre Franey's recipes, among others on the fatfree
suggested list.
Our library carries many vegetarian cookbooks but some of the more recent
are also low fat. Many high fat ingredients (such as nuts) can simply be
omitted from recipes.
