salad dressings

Hello to all.  My question for today is salad dressings.

I would like to try making my own.  I'd like to keep it simple.  Tastes
I would like are tomatoes, red pepper, basil, spicey spices.  I'm not
into creamy dressings.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
