My husband got me the Magefesa Super-Rapida II pressure cooker for Xmas,
and it works beautifully. I cooked chickpeas in 13 minutes, and unsoaked
black beans in 20 minutes, and they were falling apart by that time. This
is great, because I hate canned beans. Has anyone tried to cook barley in
the pressure cooker? What other recommendations do people have?
Incidentally, this is a very high-tech cooker and very safe--it works
differently from the traditional kinds that have the weight on the cover
and make the funny noise...
