Regarding what to put on popcorn besides salt and butter, try lemon juice. I know it sounds weird, I thought so at first to but now I'm loving it. Either squeeze the lemon right over the popcorn or put the juice into a spritzer bottle and lightly spray on. If you want, you can then sprinkle any spice on top of the lemon juice.
