I too love steel cut oats, mostly because of the wonderful chewy texture.
I've used John McCan, but their pretty pricey compared to bulk steel cut
oats sold in most health food stores.
I've cooked them often in my slow-cooker over night and they come out
wonderfully flavorful and crunchy. I often add dried fruit to the cooker
when I start them at night.
