Fiber / oat and unprocessed wheat bran

To Ellen

Regarding your taste for brans - I do too ! Try these two
take a cup or two of wheat or oat bran-better yet mix the two and shake in a
bag with a spritz of water or juice, cinnamon, nutmeg and sweetener of
choice
then
- Spread your oat or unprocessed wheat bran on a nonstick cookie sheet and
spritz and bake in a 275 oven about 15 to 25 minutes- stir or turn with
spatula to prevent burning

Store in a closed jar and use to sprinkle on soups, salads, hot cereal ect.

Blend up a mango, banana and orange juice smoothie and add 1/8 cup each oat
and wheat bran in mix, or sprinkle top of smoothie with lots of toasted
oat/wheat bran.

P.S. most cereals don't contain that much fiber - McDougall said you would
be hard pressed to get 35 grams a day by cereals alone ( TOO MANY CALORIES
ALSO ! )
Loads of low cal and yummy veggies have high fiber content especially with
peels intact.
