To the person who is considering buying an electric steamer, you just need
to look for those little collapsible steamer baskets you buy in the kitchen
ware departments. To me the veggies should not "sit" in water, but just be
cooked by the steam.
I once made one from a foil pie tin, punched lots of holes in it, inverted
it in the pot, and put my veggies on top. Cover the pot and it works slick.
