While I am not aware of a canned veggie t una, I like to make this Faux Tuna
Salad out of simple ingredients. Its very tasty, and you can use it on
bread or crackers with great success:
Fake Tuna Salad
1 can (15 oz.) Garbanzo beans (Chick Peas), drained and rinsed
minced green onion to taste
pickle relish or finely chopped pickles (my preference is sweet!)
salt and pepper
any other favorite tuna salad ingredients
Mash up the beans until they are at a small-chunky stage, add the rest of
the ingredients, refrigerate for the flavors to mix and enjoy.
A friend also uses Great Northern, or any white bean for this with good
results also.
