Someone last week or so wanted to know about lowfat veggie restaurants in
London. We ate at an incredible one in 1997, called The Red Fort. It's at
77, Dean Street, London W1V5HA. It had just reinvented itself as a
nonfat-nouvelle cuisine-Indian restaurant. It was not totally vegetarian,
but there were a great many veggie choices, some without dairy, and
everything was TOTALLY NONFAT. Extremely unusual for a restaurant, and it
was DELICIOUS! I don't know if it is still doing the same thing--apparently
they have reinvented themselves before--but I strongly recommend the
restaurant. My carnivorous college-age son and crossover (veggie at home,
carnivorous when out) husband also loved it.
Wish I were going with you.
