Speaking of covert vegetables, I thought of one of my favorite tricks.
It sounds sneaky, but sometimes if you leave it up to the children,
they're lucky to get five veggies a week.
-Puree steamed carrots into spagetti sauce, with a blender. This helps
get rid of the chunks in the sauce which the children avoid, adds great
nutrients, and adds a great flavor that only my husband and I could
detect - almost reminded me of meat sauce.
I've also heard you can add a block of frozen spinach into a chocolate
cake recipe undetected. Sound familiar to anyone? I've always been
curious about this!
