Does anyone know the fat content of pumpkin seeds? Not commercially packaged ones - but right out of the pumpkin, roasted by me. Are they fat free? I fear not - seeds usually have some fat.
According to the USDA Nutrient Database (SR-14), for 100g of "pumpkin and squash seeds, whole, roasted, without salt" there are approximately 19.4g total fat (3.67g saturated, 6.032 monounsaturated, 8.844 polyunsaturated (they don't add up due to round-off error and so forth)). For the caloric data, 162 of the 446 kcal reported are from fat (36.4%). 1 cup is listed as 64 grams. Hope this helps.
