I'm new to the list, but I couldn't help putting my .02 in on this one.
The other night I took four portobello mushrooms, sans caps, and brushed
them with a mixture of balsamic vinegar and crushed garlic. Then I
grilled on my Jenn-air, but I'm sure a regular broiler will work. Five
or so minutes on each side. Put them on regular hamburger buns with the
works: red onions, dijon mustard, lettuce, tomato.
They were out of this world. My five year old daughter ate it.
