oat bran muffins

Michael, at what temperature do you bake these muffins?

To the person who asked about oat bran: the two most common forms of bran
sold are wheat bran and oat bran, which are the outer coverings of these
grains that are generally milled off when they're processed. Either one
can usually be purchased in a HFS, usually in bulk (much cheaper) and
often packaged and sold with the flours or cereals in regular markets,
though they'll be pricier in that form. When you make bran muffins, oat
bran generally produces a moister product, wheat bran one that will be a
bit drier so that you experience more of the sort of scratchy texture of
the bran itself. Recipes tend to specify one or the other, though I think
(and may be mistaken) that if it just says "bran" it probably means wheat
bran. All cereals/grains have an outer bran layer, so you may also find
corn bran (Quaker makes a corn bran cold cereal), rice bran, etc.
