Canola Oil is extracted from rape seeds--plant seeds. Commercial
production began in Canada and the name "Canola" derives from
Canadian. According to "Becoming Vegetarian", Canola Oil is 6%
saturated fat, 58% monounsaturated, and the breakdown of polyunsaturated
fats is--26% linoleic (omega-6) and 10% alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3).
Hope the last sentence isn't considered too technical for Fatfree
Digest.
